Here are some tips to help you clean your bathroom effectively and safely with a baby in the house:
Safety First:
Ensure that your baby is in a safe and secure place before you start cleaning. You can use an Orbital rotating bath seat which securely fixes onto your bath, shower tray or tiled floor or have someone watch over them while you clean.
Gather Supplies:
Before you begin, gather all the cleaning supplies you’ll need. This includes cleaning agents, scrub brushes, micro-fibre cloths, and rubber gloves or anything you’ve seen in the hacks videos! Or even better keep them stored in a storage tidier / caddy.
Opt for baby-safe or non-toxic cleaning products. This is important because babies are more susceptible to the effects of chemicals. Avoid using harsh chemicals that may leave residue or fumes in the bathroom.
Ventilation:
Ensure proper ventilation in the bathroom. Open a window if possible and turn on the bathroom extractor fan to help dissipate any lingering fumes from cleaning products.
Consider using steam cleaners for sanitising. Steam cleaning is chemical-free and safe for babies. It effectively kills germs and removes dirt.
Work in Short Bursts:
Babies require a lot of attention and care, so it’s best to tackle cleaning in short, focused bursts. Clean one section at a time, and take breaks as needed to tend to your baby. Take advantage of your baby’s nap-time or when they are occupied with toys to clean. These moments provide you with a brief window to be more efficient.
If your baby is in a safe place in the bathroom, you can engage with them while you clean. Sing to them or talk to keep them entertained.
Stay Flexible:
Be prepared for interruptions. Babies can be unpredictable, so stay flexible with your cleaning schedule and adapt to your baby’s needs.
Remember that maintaining a clean and safe bathroom is important, but your baby’s well-being is the top priority. Prioritise your baby’s needs and adjust your cleaning routine accordingly. A little mess in the short term is okay; your child’s safety and happiness should come first.
With the demanding responsibilities of parenthood, juggling household chores can be challenging. These ingenious hacks shared by content creators simplify the cleaning process, providing innovative solutions to tackle messes efficiently. From quick tidying strategies to creative storage solutions, these hacks offer hope for parents seeking to maintain a clean and organised home while navigating the demands of family life.
